The Past, Present and Future.

"The past is history, Tomorrow is a mystery and Today is a gift, that's why it's called The Present"

To be honest, I couldn't come up with a concept I wanted to follow through with on this post.
I had a few ideas such as: "Popular trends of 2010", "What to wear on New Years" and "Trends to expect 2011".. in the end, I realized that everyone else was almost doing the same thing.

Also, I realized it would be way too much for me to cover with my O.C.D like personality. BUT I still want to cover those themes mentioned above. What to do, what to do...

After giving it a considerable amount of thought, I finally came up with an idea. Why not do all 3? BAM! like a lighting bolt, inspiration has struck me. Thus, here it is. I present to you.

The Past, The Present and The Future.

The Past.

In a nut shell, this picture summarizes a lot of the fashion trends that we have seen this past year. From Floral patterns to Wedgebooties. Coral to Turquoise. Military inspired fashion to Fur covered everything. This was a great 2010 eh? (no I am not Canadian.) And although, I know I missed the other half of the fashion trends, it's something we all know. My philosophy is; Never linger in the past for too long. Therefore, let's move on to the present now.

The Present.

We are now at the present. New Year's eve is right around the corner and you know what that means; PARTY, PARTY, vomit.. Either way, I have linked 2 pictures above that lead to style guide for men and for women. I wanted to present my own, but due to my lack of fashionistO* knowledge, I bring you the gift of knowledge from a different source: http://www.refinery29.com. So please enjoy.

The Future.

Hello and welcome to the future. Where Military fashion is of the past, where colors named "Honey Suckle" exist, where it's okay for females to roam around in Lacey and Sheer, lingerie looking clothing. Where Bikers roam free and set the pace for the fashion world!. Cheesy? eh, whatever. The picture above should summarize a few things to look out for during 2011. Leather, Straps, Hand-cuffs, Lace, Sheer, Snake Skin, Tassels + More. I would give you the whole run down, but then what will I write about in the future?
If you check out the color palette, those are the Pantone color trends for Spring 2011 and as Turquoise was the big thing last year, Honey Suckle will "Suckle" you right in... this whole segment doesn't quite sound right.. oh wells.
Well This is all for today and for this year. Enjoy your New Year's, Don't vomit too much from drinking and stay true to your resolutions!

Fashionably late.

So, it's the final stretch before Christmas, and again I am very late with my Holiday shopping. In hopes that I am not the only one who is terribad (Terrible + bad) at planning ahead when it comes to shopping, I have created the top 3 gifts for men and women.

This little accessory seems to be a big hit in the fashion accessories world, the combination of leather tassels and the fur tail, makes a statement when attached to your bag. Although this was introduced earlier in the spring (2010), it still sees a lot of popularity to date.
Retail price: $1120.00

In the case the LV Fox tail is either completely sold out or a bit over your budget, I have find the perfect alternative from Dolls Kill . Made out of 100% fox tail, its fluffy and legit. Check out there website to see more pictures.

Retail Price: $65.00 - $85.00

Sparkly sequin, satin and genuine sheepskin makes a pair of these the center of the universe during the holidays seasons. It's like turning on the disco ball at your neighborhood cafe. I'm not really sure where I was going with that, but I was trying to point out the casual/life-of-the-party kind of presence these Ugg's radiate.
Retail Price: $170.00
If shiny and sparkly causes too much distraction for you during short walks OR you're out of luck and can't find a pair of the sparks, then the next best thing is the original classic's. Like I've mentioned in one of my previous posts, every female should own a pair of these. The casual and comfy looking design makes these an essential for the Fall/Winter/Spring collection. Leggings? Jeans? Skirt? Shorts? It looks great no matter how you wear it. Mmm, sheepskin socks.
Retail Price: $140.00

Hat hair isn't cool. You know what is? Burberry's Cashmere giant check earmuffs. It's soft, keeps you warm and looks cute, classy and casual. Whether worn with a pair of sweat pants to run to the groceries or worn with a coat over your dinner dress, like Ugg's, it just whispers "Casual and classy". Good luck finding a legit pair of these. This should be on every lady's wish list. DO IT NOW.
Retail Price: $170.00

So, you went to Nordstrom, Bloomingdale, Saks Fifth ave, The Burberry outlet, everywhere imaginable. You've even considered buying the knock-off imitation (Which is a no-no!) of the Burberry Giant Checks Earmuffs, yet you've had no luck in snatching up a pair. Well, it's alright, it's not the end of the world
(Atleast for another year right?). Straight out of Australia is a beautiful piece of winter accessory. Made out of 100% genuine Shearling sheepskin, these Ugg's earmuffs are the best alternative money can afford. In my opinion, these actually look warmer and cozy. It's cheaper, easier to find and still plays it off with the "casual and trendy" aura, easily.
Retail Price: $75.00

 BUT WAIT! THERES MORE!.
I have something for the males as well.
Although I'm personally too broke to afford a pair of these baddies, any music enthusiast should try to cop a pair once the price drops like the beats. Beats by the world famous hip-hop artist and producer Dr.Dre, these headphones will literally BLOW YOUR MIND!. The sound quality is amazing, the design is sleek and simple(in a REALLY good way) and the bass these headphones are able to generate make juicing THAT much better. I don't care if you only listen to country and gospel, you need one of these badly.
Retail Price: $199.95-$349.95
The design, sound quality and the community behind these are as sweet as the name suggests. Although the sound quality lacks a bit when compared to Beats, it really give you the bang for your buck. Skull Candy offers over 200 different designs and styles. The colors are vibrant and the style is sick. If you own a pair of them Reebok Pumps, this is the ONLY way to walk with a bop.
Retail Price: $19.99 - $249.99

I like to call this my "Ninja water". The scent is feint and subtle but you can definitely feel the presence of something lurking around. It's long lasting and the scent isn't overpowering nor overwhelming. It gives the right touch of sexy, manly and powerful. A whiff of this and it will have the ladies pinching your cheeks (Either, or) every time you pass by. Long story short: it makes all other colognes and man perfume smell like the great depression.
Retail Price: $20.37-$95.00
This is the cologne I currently wear right now. It was given to me as a gift a few years ago and haven't changed since. The scent adapts with the scent that comes directly from your body, so depending on who is wearing it, there is a subtle difference between each individual. It's feint enough so you feel the need to get a second whiff and strong enough to make you remember the scent once and for all. Although gentle, it dominates and marks it's territory like a dog, and men are apparently dogs, therefore This cologne is all that is man. It's proof that the Japanese do things right a 100% of the time, 75% of the time.
Retail Price: $24.00 - $82.00

NUMBER 1:ERNST BENZ BY JOHN VARVATOS LIMITED EDITION CHRONOSCOPE.
Every man should own a minimum of 1 hell of a time piece. This is a fine example of what a man's watch should look like. Powerful. Period. The alpha-male-ness of this watch comes from the fact that only 250 of these were made. Trust me, this will leave an impression that can only be described as "Pure Dominance"
Retail Price: $6,800.00
THE ALTERNATIVE: THE "AIRPORT LOUNGE" WORLD TIME WATCH BY TX.
The world on your wrist, how masculine and sexy does that look? This time piece represents, power, wealth, structure, knowledge, professionalism and has the words "Modern and Casual" written all over it. I mean, really, what more can I say? The price, the design and the aura it emits is all green lights to me. Unless you're or were one of the lucky ones to snatch a piece of the Varvatos, this is the only other way to go. It comes in 6 different styles and colors, leather or stainless steel straps and they're all coated with Sapphire minerals. Tasty.
Retail Price: $480.00 - $560.00

Well now, That is all for this week. Happy shopping, Happy Holidays and I will see you all next week. This is Mikey Flash signin' out. ONE!
