Hats, caps or something like that.

Hat hair sucks, but you know what's worse? being in the freezing weather without a hat to keep your top warm.

I took it to the streets, once again and started taking pictures of random people with hats on. Although there were plenty of pictures I wanted to post, instead I narrowed it down to 8 pictures I wanted to focus on.

As colorful as her jacket is, along with the monkey face, you'd expect her to smile more... or not.
To be completely honest, I am sick of these strung beanies with those damned animal faces on them. Sure I thought it was kind of cute and nice looking when it's on small children, such as the little lady in the picture, but when I see anyone older than 21 rocking one of these, it just makes me want to break things that are within couching distance*.

That being said, these hats are sweeping throughout the street of New York. From children to adults with possible mental illnesses, everybody and their mothers has one. Most of the hats are made of wool blends and polyester, and are lined in the inside with polar fleece. Price range: $9.00 - $25.00

I see you too, sir.
Brimless winter beanies. From old school B-boys to generation Y hipsters and skaters, beanies are almost an essential for teens who grow up exposed to certain cultures and scenes. But, forget the history of the hats and lets focus on what's going on here. I think they generally work really well with whatever you wear, this should be on everyone's Holiday gift list for any male members in your household.

Beanies have been around forever and are the #1 sought after winter hats around the world. It's made out of wool blend most of the times and come in various colors, sometimes the colors can be full on solid or it can have various colors to make it look flashy. These are the basic of basic's when it comes to winter gear, if you don't own one, or have owned one in the past, you've got problems. Price range: $5.00 -$25.00

I swear, kids these days don't smile. Maybe if I had my finger glued to my lips, I wouldn't be smiling either.. just saying.
Knitted Berets have been in style all year long and I personally think, with the right outfit and proper color coordination, it could make any girl look sophisticated and cute at the same time. Expect to see these hats for a few more seasons. Woven berets = Beanies for women.  A must have.

Although, when some people think of "Berets", like myself, they think of the old french flat caps or Chavez. These double woven, wool blended berets are an EXCELLENT fashion accessory for the winter time. They're warm, made of wool most of the time, completely trendy with all the knitting patterns and colors it comes in, AND are affordable. Price range: $5.00 - $35.00

Oh, she's stylin' it right. REAL right. mmm.
Anyone ever watch the movie "Super Trooper"? This hat has nothing to do with that movie except for the 2nd word of the title. Trooper hats went from Antarctica-friendly to Modern lumberjack to Chic and trendy in a span for 20 years or less. As a guy, I can't wear most of the troopers out there, I tried, but it makes my already too-big of a head even bigger. /sadface.  Either way, Troopers are in, big time. With all the furry glory and different colored patterns of plaid it comes in, it's hard not to be noticed with one of these on. Look at the picture and tell me she ain't stylin' on everyone she walks by.

Troopers or Trappers are a strict winter item. The trappers that surround the ears are usually lined with fur or sometimes heavily woven wool types of fabrics. The ear flaps can be either tied up or kept down to, well obviously, to cover your ears. Trappers come on all types of hats, baseball, beanie, jockeys, you name it. But do watch out how you decide to rock it in the cold weather, too much fur makes you look all disgusting IMHO. The word "Warmth" is written all over this hat, so if you're in the market for something big, furry and warm and can't afford a bear, buy one of these. Price range: $10.00 - $150.00

I know, keep avoiding eye contact, we all know how you feel wearing that silly thing. /smile.

Pom-Poms. Are one of those "Love it" or "Absolutely hate it" kind of things. I know it's big in the Asian culture, since those Asian girls love cute things, but I can't say the same for the general population in America. I personally think that, yes, they are cute. Depending on how plush it is and what material they made it out of, it can make a sea of difference between, stylish or trendy, the difference you ask? I'll let you sit on that for awhile.

Pom-pom's are completely acceptable with beanies, jockies, berets and anything cute and feminine-able (is that a word?), It definitely give a "cute aura" to anyone rocking something with a ball of fur or something on top. If it ain't yo style, don't sweat it, you don't gotta pressure yourself to kick it, you know? (Yes, I am fluent in street slang, the modern edition). I give Pom-poms a /thumb-up.

I really like this picture for some strange reason.

Aw, how cute, she matched her slouch beanie with his hoodie.
Couples spending some quality time with each other. No need for gloves right? got each others hands? I suddenly feel sad. For all you couples out there, this is a good way to keep each other warm and to let your significant other know that "Yes, I am willing to wear hats with you, because we're exclusive"

This last picture here, doesn't have much to do with hats. Sure, the mother is wearing a fur jockey, which is VERY popular among certain groups, but I wanted to emphasize on how AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL the lady to the left is, and I mean, check out their taste in fashion, they have all the right gear, in all the right places. They got the fur, the bubble, the leopard print and the leather. Mother and daughter alike, both have excellent taste in fashion, great personalities and are without a doubt, my favorite set of strangers I've met in a long time. I wish I can see them again.

Anyways, this is Mikey Flash signing out, so keep warm, stay fresh and enjoy your holidays. ONE!
