Double Jeopardy.

When it comes to shoes, nobody and I mean nobody, loves em like females. Sure, I have a passion for rare sneakers and pretty dress shoes, but sometimes I feel as if men don't really have THAT much to choose from in general.

Last week I covered popular winter hats. This week, I have decided to talk about... wait for it ... Shoes!, who would've guessed right?

So naturally, I, Mikey Flashin, took it to the streets again and ninja-paparazzi'd random New Yorkers. Enjoy.

Note: Because of the wide varieties that fall under the female shoe category, I narrowed it down to 3 "Jeopardy" styled categories that help me keep track of what I'm talking about. So, without further a due..

Believe it or not, the wool blend and belt straps make this something to keep an eye out for.

Ugg's or shoes that closely resemble the style. Sheepskin wool + Rubber sole = a national phenomenon. This is something every girl should own for the winter time. Not only is it warm and soft on the feet from what I have heard, it is also highly fashionable and can go with almost anything. It defines casual-trendy and honestly looks sexy as hell when I see someone rockin a pair with some leggings, a loose white t-shirt, scarf and a fedora... but that's just me.  So the answer is: What the hell are ugg's?

Do these come used?

Leather looks good on almost, and let me emphasize the almost, anything. These leather shoes, whether with heels, pointy tips, belt straps and/or tassels make it very fashionable and almost a necessary for the winter. Although they're not as casual as the Ugg's mentioned above, they are pretty practical and are spicy hot, which is a good thing. From shiny to worn looking vintage styled varieties, I would say about 1 in 3 of the female popular in New York rocks it fresh with a pair of leather kicks. Oh? what's that? You clearly spot a pair or two of suede looking fabric? I don't care, I'm sure its leather.. right?
The answer is: What goes nicely with a pair of leather boots?

Surprisingly, I didn't see too many of those "oh-so-fabulous" Wedge booties.. hmm.. god those are so sexy with a pair of tight fitting jeans.

Luckily it hasn't snowed yet at this point. Salt + snow slush = White death.

Fur and Tassels are 2 of the hottest fashion items this season. You take either of and throw em on a pair of shoes and what do you get? W.T.F! (Wonderful Tassel and Fur... duh!). If you're one of those who are not in touch with their fashionista of an inner child, like I, one thing to know for this winter is that is Tassel and Fur are the "it" items, plain and simple. From Paris to Japan, From Korea to London, shoes with either or both are hitting the G-Spot in the fashion-sensible world like Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans(Too soon?). Although, you should watch out when choosing the right type of fur. Besides the fact that walking past the wrong P.E.T.A member will get red paint showering your FACE, choosing the wrong type of fur will make you look like you're walking around with a mop attached to your feet or you killed something and glued it on..anyways, with the right combination of color, density and placement, you could have yourself another reason for men to break their necks and women to whisper behind your back.. sort of like that top you wear to that one club.

Tassel on the other hand, you shouldn't worry too much about. Color wise, I've only seen tasseled shoes in Black, Gray and shades of Brown, i wouldn't mind seeing pink shoes and tassels, like those Ugg's up there.

Fur = Glamorous / Tassel = Casual.
