The weather is crazy!

Apparently someone didn't check the weather.
So, the weather's been all crazy and what not here in New York City for the last 2 weeks. We would have days that are mid 60's for a few days and then randomly drop down to mid and low 40's.

Just curious as to how my fellow Yorker's are dealing with the weather confusion, as well as keeping it warm on days like the past week where it was a constant 40-50 degrees all week long.

For instance, check out the picture to the left, I know I'm no fashion expert, but in my honest opinion, more than looking fashionable, she just looks cold, as opposed to the lady behind with the purple scarf, who is looking mighty warm, as well as having an excellent heads up on the current trends as well as the weather forecast.

I always wondered if people had to choose between: Being warm vs Being fashionable, during the fall/winter seasons. And then I realized that while some people had to literally choose between the two, there were others who just made it work really well for them.
in good taste, she got it going on with the accessories.
She has that "Britney Spears" complex.

When in doubt, choose any shade of Black, Gray and/or White.

Matching brown leather, the scarf to keep it warm and the random burst of purple
It's as if, not having a scarf or something in leather makes you look completely unfashionable as well as not being warm enough for the crazy weather.
The "Exception"

See what I mean? besides the one "Exception", everyone seems to be rocking a scarf or something in leather. The "Exception" however was struttin' fresh with that fur trapper styled winter hat to mark her territory.

To be quite frank, I was sure those "Shiny-bubble" was going to be out of style this winter, but apparently it's still the "IT" thing to be wearing to look fashionable and warm. From what I know, those jackets run under $300 easily. I should cop one for myself.

On a side note, just loved how this picture turned out. Notice the guy on his Blackberry to the right, as well as the with the "Arnold Schwarzenegger" shades on. This reminded me of 2 things:

  1. That new Windows phone commercial. If you zoom in on the guy with the phone, he's only moved his thumb in the time the "Terminator" to his right has taken about 4 steps, without moving his body at all.
  2. The "Terminator" dude looks like he has a destination he wants to get to. You can almost feel the determination just oozing from him.
So overall, through the window shopping and the random snaps of people. It was clearly obvious what needs to be done if you want to be within the borders of "fashionable" and want to keep it warm for the remaining few months.

Before I sign out today, I want to share one more picture. Watching her walk towards me hit the auto-switch in my head that instantly played "Bad to the bone" by George Thorogood and the Destroyers.

Oh, shes bad alright. I love her fur scarf, the aviator shades and the dark brown wedge booties shes rocking sooooo freshly. Her choice of colors and that cigarette just makes me want to stand at a distance and watch quietly. (Cue: Michael Jackson - Bad)

Anyways, this is Mikey Flash signing out. ONE!
